… From before
Realm-1 experiences come through our senses. Where do Realm-2 experiences come from? The answer is simple, they come through new senses.
In 1781 the philosopher Immanuel Kant stated that we could never penetrate the reality of the world through our senses. We could relate to appearances through our senses, but could never relate to the "thing in itself". Our senses could not discover reality.
In the early nineteenth century, another German philosopher, Johann Gottlieb Fichte, came up with a startling reply to Kant's theory. In order to perceive the reality beyond the senses, we could develop new senses. He wrote about
"...the existence of a quite new sensory instrument through which a new world is opened up. A world that simply does not exist for the ordinary person."
Fichte, Science of Knowledge , 1813
A third German philosopher, Rudolf Steiner, a pioneer in understanding Realm-2, was even more explicit. Steiner said that as we entered into Realm-2, we would develop organs of spiritual hearing, organs of spiritual vision, even organs of spiritual smell and taste. Of course, since these are Realm-2 organs of sense, they will not form in our Realm-1 physical body. They will evolve in a non-physical body - a Realm-2 body. We will return to the idea of a spiritual body later.
There is a whole field of research devoted to extra sensory perception. Fittingly called ESP, Extra Sensory Perception. In the last century endless articles were written in scientific journals and volumes of research were published that supported many Realm-2 claims. It appears that we can communicate mind to mind, that it is possible to see into the future, and that many forms of complementary healing work. Despite all the evidence, our Western world view has remained stubbornly entrenched within the old Realm-1 view. There is a reason for this - a Realm-2 reason.
