Soul Maps: A Guide for the Perplexed |
|
When I have a difficult subject before me--when I find the road narrow, and can see no other way of teaching a well established truth except by pleasing one intelligent man and displeasing ten thousand fools--I prefer to address myself to the one man, and to take no notice whatever of the condemnation of the multitude; I prefer to extricate that intelligent man from his embarrassment and show him the cause of his perplexity, so that he may attain perfection and be at peace. Moses Maimonides, “A Guide for the Perplexed” |

When the C12 philosopher, Moses Maimonides wrote his most famous work “Guide for the Perplexed”, he intended it to be a guide through the labyrinths of religious and philosophical metaphors which seem to prevent the seeker for truth from achieving their goal. In the C20, the psychologist, Carl Jung, wrote a little work entitled “Modern Man in Search of a Soul”. What both of these thinkers were striving to do was to convey a sense of “Realm 2” to a “Realm 1” consciousness. We might well question why modern Western consciousness has so lost touch with the soul that it now denies or at best ignores its existence. Perhaps one of the reasons is that we have forgotten how to communicate with our soul, and, how our soul communicates with us. Soul Communication Soul Maps
